I always pictured Tibetans as short and hearty people, whose primary ideals were friendship, peace loving, and tranquil Buddhist Zen. So concerned with reaching nirvana they walk around a mountain 108 times. Each lap taking almost two weeks, as traditional Tibetan prayer routine calls for lying down, praying, standing up, and putting your feet where your hands were. It takes 10 minutes to go what 30 seconds running would have accomplished. Almost as important as peace loving and tranquility to the Tibetan stereotype is their other cornerstone, being oppressed.
